TUI is increasing the seat quota for the 2025 autumn holidays from Zurich to Gran Canaria, Hurghada and Crete for better availability.
TUI increases seat quota: fly cheaper for autumn holidays now!
TUI has announced that demand for travel during the autumn holidays is increasing, leading to an increase in the number of guaranteed seats from Zurich on its flight partner Edelweiss. From autumn 2025, travelers will be able to choose from TUI's additional offers, which promise attractive prices and better availability. The new capacities apply to three popular travel destinations: Gran Canaria, Hurghada and Crete. This indicates that TUI wants to further establish the autumn holiday travel period in the long term in order to serve the growing needs of customers.
The additional capacity includes specific flights until the end of the season, planned as follows:

Seat reservations and options
Travelers have the opportunity to reserve their seats via all TUI booking systems. The information on seat reservation relates primarily to the airline TUI fly, where customers can choose from different seat categories. The offers include comfort seats that offer up to 11 cm more legroom, as well as XL seats at emergency exits with up to 23 cm more space.
However, it is important to note that certain groups of people, such as babies, children under 14, pregnant women and people with disabilities are not allowed to book XL seats. This is to ensure that all passengers can travel safely and comfortably. In addition, if the booking criteria are not met, passengers will be rebooked to another seat without a refund.
Special offers for TUI Card holders
TUI Card holders benefit from free seat bookings, with the exception of Comfort and XL seats. In addition, passengers have the option of booking a free middle seat to optimize their space requirements. Anyone who does not reserve a desired seat will automatically be assigned a free seat upon check-in, while seat changes can be made via web check-in for a fee. It should also be noted that seat reservations are also available for other airlines, including Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines. This flexibility significantly expands the travel experience for TUI customers.
