Drunk passenger thrown from plane: resistance in Nuremberg!

On May 19, 2025, an incident occurred at Nuremberg Airport that abruptly ended the start of a drunk passenger's vacation. The 35-year-old man wanted to board a flight to Palma de Mallorca, but was excluded from his seat due to his strong intoxication. The pilot determined that the passenger was significantly intoxicated and decided to exclude him from the flight.

The drunk holidaymaker was dissatisfied with this decision and refused to follow the instructions of the on-board staff. The police were then called in to remove him from the plane. Despite the officers' intervention, the man resisted and pushed a police officer against the side of the plane. Fortunately, the policewoman was uninjured.

Police operation and consequences

In order to finally get the man out of the plane, the police had to handcuff him. After being removed from the aircraft, the man was taken to the police station where a blood sample was taken to determine his alcohol content. He then spent the night in a sobering-up cell.

An investigation was initiated against the 35-year-old for resisting law enforcement officers. The flight to Palma de Mallorca finally took off without the drunk passenger. The incident was reported by both merkur.de as well as from aviation.direct documented in detail.

Nuremberg Albrecht Dürer Airport is currently in the news with an active summer flight schedule that includes new destinations in Italy. It should be noted that a Ryanair connection to Italy has been canceled, affecting the availability of flights from the region.
