Cruise revolution: New Destination Manager” simplifies entry!

A3M Global Monitoring has updated its Destination Manager information tool to adapt entry and visa requirements specifically for cruises. This will make planning and carrying out deep sea adventures much easier in the future. The new functions are part of a cooperation with the XML Team, the provider of the cruise booking tool Cruise Compass.

The customizations in Destination Manager allow users to automatically retrieve relevant country information based on the respective route and ship. This also includes information on how to get there, including any transit restrictions. This comprehensive presentation of entry and health regulations is particularly important because country-specific differences in sea calls are taken into account compared to regular entries.

Advanced functionalities and integration

Particular attention is paid to integrating the tool into existing booking systems, including Cruise Compass and other third-party systems. According to A3M, collaboration with shipping companies is planned to enter specific information directly into the system. This new feature will be available to travelers on a leading cruise portal, where entry requirements will be automatically added to each offer based on itinerary.

For each country visited during a cruise, the applicable entry and health regulations are provided in a consolidated link. This link leads to an up-to-date website created specifically for each cruise and nationality. Travelers also have the option to register multiple nationalities, which simplifies planning for international groups.

Advantages for agents and travelers

The new Destination Manager not only simplifies the travel planning process, but also provides greater clarity compared to previous methods. Travel agents benefit from a stationary version of the tool that provides comprehensive information on global events that could impact travel, such as wildfires, earthquakes or strikes. This allows them to respond competently to critical questions about the situation on site.

The new functions and simplified handling will be presented in two webinars, which will take place on May 23rd from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and on May 28th from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. These training courses offer those interested a comprehensive introduction to the possibilities of the destination manager.
