Cruise week in Hamburg: huge events for fans and professionals!
The “Hamburg Cruise Week 2025” will take place in Hamburg from September 8th to 14th, 2025, a significant event for the cruise industry. It kicks off with the “Ports & Destination Dialogue” of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), which begins on September 8th and lasts until September 9th. Over 200 stakeholders from more than 20 countries, including cruise lines, port authorities and shore excursion providers, come together to promote collaboration for sustainable growth in the industry. The second big event, the “Seatrade Europe – Cruise & River Cruise Convention”, will take place from September 10th to 12th, 2025 at the Convention Center Hamburg. This 12th edition of the convention is considered the premier international event for the European cruise and river cruise community. Over 300 cruise line executives from more than 40 countries are expected, making the event a significant meeting point for the industry. More than 3,500 participants and over 250 exhibiting companies will be present, reflecting the diversity of topics and challenges in the European cruise market.
The events in detail
The guiding principle of Seatrade Europe is “Future Forward”, with the event offering space for discussions about current challenges as well as the presentation of the latest innovations and products. For the first time, end consumers were also invited to the convention, which represents a significant step in opening up the industry. Up to 500 end customers can take part in the special Destination Discovery Friday, while travel agents are invited to take part on Thursday and Friday.
Finally, the Hamburg Cruise Days, which will take place from September 12th to 14th, 2025, expect seven ocean-going cruise ships and one river cruise ship. The supporting program includes a variety of travel presentations, entertainment and culinary offerings that offer visitors an unforgettable experience. A highlight will be the opening of the new HafenCity cruise terminal on September 12th, which will further improve the infrastructure for future cruises in Hamburg, reports Cruise Gate Hamburg.
