Marne 2025: Big plans and exciting events for the region!
On May 28, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Marne trade association took place in a positive atmosphere. The members look back on a successful year as a club and have already presented numerous plans for the future. Particularly noteworthy is the election of René Peters as second chairman of the association's board, which met with great interest. The event was also a platform to report on the successes achieved over the past year.
Notable highlights in the first half of the year included the magic of spring, which attracted numerous visitors to Marn city center, and the Marn Fair 2025 in May, which can be considered a complete success. This fair represented a weekend of innovation, entertainment and community. According to information, the fair helped to position Marne as an attractive venue and support local business.
Planned events and collaborations
Further attractive events are already on the program for the coming months. The “Wine meets Beer” wine festival will take place on July 18th and 19th, 2025 at Backenplatz. This event promises a diverse offering with live music, fine wines, regional beer specialties and culinary delights. Preparations are in full swing and the members of the trade association are optimistic that the festival will be another success.
A notable aspect of the meeting was the announcement of the Santa Claus boot campaign for children and the planning of a lively Advent calendar in December. These initiatives are intended to help strengthen the sense of community in Marne and encourage anticipation of the Christmas season.
Strategic developments
Another important topic at the meeting was taking over the management of the Marschenbahn Draisine, which is intended to contribute to strengthening the tourist offer in the region. The trade association cooperates closely with the St. Michaelisdonn Tourism and Trade Association to prepare a professional report with the “inspektour” agency. The aim is to make the trolley even more attractive and to create an appealing leisure offer.
The first chairman, Andre Jörns, emphasized in his report the commitment of the members and the variety of ideas that are brought into the association. He is optimistic about an exciting year 2025 for Marne and the region, which will be characterized by creative events and innovative projects.
It is also interesting to mention that the UW Werbe agency, which was founded in 1999 and is headed by Werner Wiechert, acts as a partner of the trade association. The agency is based in Nindorf near Meldorf and is known for its Brunsbüttel magazine, which will celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2025. UW Advertising has established itself as an established provider of business printing and club magazines in the region and therefore also supports local initiatives and celebrations, such as the upcoming events in Marne.
