Matthias Reim: From doubter to proud father of seven children!

Matthias Reim, the 67-year-old pop star, is not only known for his music, but also for his diverse family. The artist has a total of seven children from six different relationships and has been married to Christin Stark, 34, for four years. The couple are parents to two-year-old daughter Zoe, who has initiated an unexpected change of heart for Reim when it comes to fatherhood.

Initially, Reim was against his wife's wish to have another child. In an interview, he recalled his resistance for just five minutes before finally giving in. The birth of Zoe in 2022 meant a new dimension of family life and a deep feeling of happiness for him.

A patchwork family

Reim, who lives in a blended family, has children aged 2, 15, 19, 24, 27, 36 and 49. Despite the wide age range, the children are close to their father. Even after a long career in the music industry, he now feels more balanced and is opening himself up to further possibilities: “If it is meant to be, I would also welcome an eighth child,” he said optimistically.

His daughter, whom he only discovered in 2015, gave him two grandchildren. He humorously commented on this fact with the words: “Damn, now I’m a grandpa too!”

The confusion about the number of children

Christin Stark, who is herself in the public eye, recently expressed confusion about the exact number of Reims children at the “Star Night at Lake Neusiedl”. When asked how many there were, she answered uncertainly: "Six... Seven?" The complicated family structure and the diverse relationships also pose a challenge for them.

Some of Matthias Reim's children are active in the music business themselves. Julian Reim, 27, and Marie Reim, 24, are following in their father's footsteps and have also established themselves as pop stars.
