Österreich - Current surveys show that 96 percent of Austrians want to travel at least once this year. It is particularly noteworthy that 70 percent are planning a trip abroad, while about 50 percent want to spend their vacation within Austria. When choosing the means of transport, it turns out that 71 percent of travelers want to drive their own car. 37 percent only use the car, while 21 percent consider a combination of car and aircraft and 13 percent prefer the train. Another interesting aspect is that almost 60 percent of those surveyed want to spend their summer vacation by the sea. Families and younger travelers under the age of 30 show a special preference for this holiday. Around 25 percent plan to enjoy their summer vacation at the lake or in the mountains, while 31 percent of urban trips are considered. The main motifs for vacation are relaxation, recharge your batteries, enjoy the sun and spend time with family and friends.
