30 new tourism professionals celebrate their graduation in Thun!

On May 21, 2025, 30 students from the Higher Technical School for Tourism TFBO in Thun celebrated their diploma ceremony in the Hotel Deltapark. After two intensive years in which the students took part in two seminars abroad in Morocco and Rwanda, they can now proudly call themselves “Dipl. Tourism specialist HF” or “Dipl. Tourism expert HF». Stefan Otz, owner and director of the technical college, emphasized the enriching time that the students spent at the school and that it optimally prepared them for a career in the tourism industry.

Elias Gemperli stood out among the graduates, writing the best thesis with a grade of 5.7. His work entitled “How can ski-independent winter offers increase the attractiveness and utilization of small mountain railway companies?” was commissioned by Wierihornbahnen AG. For his outstanding performance he received a voucher worth 500 francs. Melanie Reinhard, who achieved the best performance in the class with an overall grade of 5.4, was also awarded a book voucher.

Festive setting and musical background

The celebration was accompanied musically by the band “bearbeat” and offered the graduates, their relatives and teachers a festive setting. Three students reported entertainingly about special moments and anecdotes from their time as students, while those present were able to toast their shared success.
